Caravan and camper suspension
Leaf springs, shocks and coils. If a main leaf has let go somewhere north of nowhere, that is the job we do most.
Springs replaced complete, not patched

Wedgefield, Port Hedland
Trailer, caravan and camper repairs in the Wedgefield yard. Springs, bearings, hubs, studs and aluminium work. Jan has been at it under this name since 2000, and the vans still come in on the back of a tow truck and drive out on their own wheels.

What we do
Most of what rolls into the yard is suspension, bearings or something that let go on corrugations. Some of it is aluminium work. A fair bit of it arrives on a tow truck.
Leaf springs, shocks and coils. If a main leaf has let go somewhere north of nowhere, that is the job we do most.
Springs replaced complete, not patched
Bearings repacked or replaced, and complete hubs swapped out when they are past saving.
Machined in house when parts are weeks away
Studs sheared off at highway speed is a job we have done before. We get the wheel back on properly, not temporarily.
Highway breakdown work
Parts for trailers, campers and vans, supplied and fitted at the one yard so you are not chasing them around town.
Supplied and fitted
The name on the sign. Sheet folding, cutting and fabrication in the shed off Murrena Street.
Folder, stock and a shed full of steel
When the right part does not exist within a fortnight's freight, we make something that works.
So you are not parked up waiting

The shed
JK's Aluminium has been trading under that name since March 2000. Jan Kordt runs it, and the initials on the sign are his. Twenty six years of it.
The work is trailers, caravans and campers, plus the aluminium fabrication the name came from. There is a four post hoist in the yard tall enough to put a full off road van up in the air, a folder in the shed, and racks of stock behind it.
A lot of the customers are not locals. They are people who were heading somewhere else when a spring let go on the Great Northern Highway, or a wheel came off at a hundred, or an axle started making a noise a long way past Marble Bar. They get towed in, and the aim is to get them going again rather than parked up for a fortnight waiting on freight.
“If you are looking for old school work ethic and experience. This is the place to go.”

A hoist, a folder, and a yard with room to park the van overnight.

“Hayden was easy to deal with and certainly knows his business. Found our caravan suspension issue, a broken main leaf spring and replaced our springs completely, all in a few hours. We couldn't be happier with his work and what it cost us. Thanks again Hayden.”
“Good old fashioned 'can do' attitude and this team delivered. I cannot praise the them highly enough. They stayed open well after closing to fix our van and could have charged a whole lot more. 7 hrs from being broken beside the Great Northern Hwy 100km south of Port Hedland to being fixed and back on the road. Outstanding.”
“Massive shout for getting us sorted with new leaf springs and wheel bearings for our trailer as we were passing through town. Highly recommend”
“We arrived at Jan's by way of a tow from Marble Bar, and were very anxious. He tracked down the source of our caravan axle's problem, provided a workable solution, which reassured us that we could continue our 7 month half lap with confidence. His kindness in enabling us to 'free camp' in his yard overnight was hugely appreciated. Jan and his team were wonderful.”
